There are scattered power outages reported throughout Cape May County following a severe line of thunderstorms that impacted our region Tuesday afternoon. The National Weather Service has discontinued the Tornado Warning that was posted for our community. More than 20,000 customers of Atlantic City Electric are without power in Cape May County due to the storms. Atlantic City Electric reports a power outage extending from just south of 60th Street in Avalon south through 117th Street in Stone Harbor. There are also many other outages in the County, including in Middle Township, Lower Township, and in Cape May. On the Seven Mile Beach, slightly more than 1,700 customers are without power following the storms.
