TUES, NOVEMBER 26TH: WIND ADVISORY, HEAVY RAINS FOR STONE HARBOR
The National Weather Service has posted a Wind Advisory for Tuesday, November 26th. The Wind Advisory is in effect from Midnight on Tuesday through Wednesday, November 27th at 10:00am. Strong gusty winds out of the southwest will be felt in our region especially during the overnight hours with wind gusts approaching 50mph.
A coastal storm will develop and is expected to bring significant rain and warmer temperatures to our region over a 36 hour period. Rain is expected to begin later in the day on Tuesday with the heaviest rain falling overnight through Wednesday morning. The rain will taper off Wednesday afternoon and sunny, dry, and colder weather is on our forecast from Thanksgiving through Saturday.
With the Wind Advisory, please make plans now to secure any outdoor objects including trash cans and lawn furniture. Please do not attempt to drive on any street that is covered in rainwater as the water is typically deeper than it appears. If you have any emergency, please dial 9–1-1.

Wind Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am EST Wednesday…
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 10 am EST Wednesday.
* Winds… south increasing to 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* Impacts… the strong wind gusts can be dangerous for high profile vehicles and may also cause some power outages if tree limbs break and knock down some wires.
Precautionary/preparedness actions…
Motorists should use extra caution, especially those in high profile vehicles and while traveling across bridges and other elevated roadways. Light-weight outdoor objects such as patio furniture, garbage cans and decorations should be secured.
